Katy Perry in GLAMOUR

I was tempted to buy GLAMOUR magazine this week because of two reasons:

  1. This week’s cover girl is Katy Perry, who is one of my idols.
  2. Also it said a ‘special south-east issue’, which is where I live, so I thought that it would be good to read.

It wasn’t till I got inside that I realised all of the different regions of the country had a section about that part of the country in it, also a different front cover with Katy Perry wearing a different top for each one.

Inside the magazine they showed all the tops that Katy wears for all the different covers, I love these tops, there simple yet colourful and could easily spice up a plain pair of jeans or shorts.

The 8 tops are shown below:

The Birmingham tee has to be my favourite, I love the flower in the centre.

The London tee is the one on my front-cover of GLAMOUR.

Album Art: Miranda Cosgrove

I’m quite liking Miranda Cosgrove at the moment, she was good on icarly, but after a while I grew out of icarly and kids shows. Then I found, on YouTube, some of her newly released songs, I never knew she had a good singing voice, but I instantly loved her voice, it was perfect for the songs she sang. There will be tears, Hey you, and Shakespeare are now some of my favourite songs to listen too.

Miranda Cosgrove Sparks Fly Album Cover

I also love her album cover, the pink top goes well with the green back, and the pink and green have roughly the same texture, yet the pink still stands out. The way she is hugging herself is adorable, it’s perfect for her album cover, and I think it expresses the songs on the album, shouting out that she wants comfort. My favourite thing about the cover is her hair, I love how her hair is messy but creative, the little loose plaits jumps out at me the most ,as  the neatness of the plaits contrasts with the messiness of the hair.

Love this album artwork! Love her songs! Love Miranda Cosgrove!

Colours

The other day, I found this picture of different colour paint blending into each other. As I love colours, I loved this picture.

I was inspired to do or find something colourful, so I typed into Google ‘colours’ causing me to find an online store called colourfulfashion.com, all thanks to Google predictions.

Down below are some of my favourite clothes and accessories  from colourfulfashion.com:

I love this dress, all the different colours look like they have been splashed on, yet the flower pattern stops the dress from having a colour overload. Also this dress is perfect for the summer, and with a  light jacket it would boost a bit of colour in your wardrobe for autumn and winter, it is ideal for the entire year.

I love this top, the buttons put in a boost of colour to brighten up a plain simple top, it’s cute but at the same time it’s exciting.

I adore this little handbag too, and it comes it a range of colours!!!

Penguins

I have just got a new computer, my old broke :( , and my wallpaper was a really odd slide show which after a while got on my nerves, so i got my little brother to sort it out for me, and now I have these cute picture of penguins for my wallpaper.

Down below, I have created an everyday outfit inspired from the penguins.

Products :

Essential Jersey Vest

Four Ball Drop Pendant

  1. South crinkle cotton midi skirt – very.co.uk
  2.  Essential Jersey Vest – New Look
  3. Swing Knit Cadi – House of Fraser
  4. Navy Dunlop canvas pumps – Dothery Perkins
  5. Four Ball Drop Pendant – Oasis

I have made the yellow skirt as the main piece to stand out, because I love the way penguins have the yellow breast against the other colours of navy and white, the vest is plain and simple, with a navy blue cardigan from House of Fraser, and a necklace to give it an edgy feel. I also adore the shoes from Dothery Perkins, I think they are perfect for summer and perfect foe wearing with a skirt, there are also the same colour as the cardigan.

I know people are talking about autumn fashion, but I have only been on my summer holidays for 2 and a half weeks, so I’m still in the summer mood.

LOVING IT – Scarfs

I don’t know about you, but at the moment I am quite liking scarfs, as they go with my summer tees and tank-tops well, so when the nasty british weather comes this summer, (like today), I can get a scarf out to keep me warm without being depressing and thinking about wearing a winter jumper.  I like the scarfs to be made out of a light airy fabric, like cotton or silk, so they are comfortable while wearing them, and to make sure that I don’t get too hot in the humid conditions.

These have to be some of my favourite scarfs in the shops right now:

Love this scarf from Oasis, it is perfect for the summer and I adore the colour and the pattern.

Cream floral ladder scarf Nude lace scarf

I also love these two scarves from Dothory Perkins, I like how they are both neutral, yet the one on the left still has a pattern which can  spice up your summer outfit in an instant.

This vintage scarf from very.co.uk, is another one of my favourites.

I also think that some of the scarves from H&M and River Island are amazing too, but i am having trouble uploading them onto the blog.

Please comment, and say which one is your favourite scarf?????
